Taste the Craft of ColdSpro

ColdPerk’s innovative process produces espresso-strength concentrate, ColdSpro, in just 5-20 minutes using 1.5 lbs of coffee—yielding enough for 25 drinks. This eliminates the time-consuming process of pulling individual espresso shots, making it easier and faster to craft lattes, cold brews, and desserts while improving efficiency in busy cafés.

Inspired by the way water moves through soil, ColdPerk ensures even extraction by allowing coffee grounds to absorb water uniformly. This results in a rich, full-bodied espresso concentrate that can be used as is or diluted to recipe. With a simple pump system at the make station, baristas can quickly prepare drinks, reducing wait times and ensuring consistent quality.

ColdPerk’s approach is based on gravity, allowing water to move slowly through the ground coffee bed, extracting flavor and intensity in just minutes—not hours. At the heart of this technology is the DWIP Manifold™. This patent pending tool helps distribute water evenly across the coffee field, maximizing exposure to the coffee and ensuring the extraction is concentrated and flavorful.

By controlling the water distribution at the top of the process, ColdPerk allows water to stay in contact with the grounds long enough to capture the full essence of the coffee.

Let's talk about versatility this product offers.

There are a broad range of levers that can be pulled to customize a coffee recipe uniquely suited to your business. Depending on the targeted flavors, desired speed, yield goals, and chosen coffee beans, settings can be fine-tuned for a truly personalized exceptional extraction. The below guidelines are great starting points for typical results achieved with ColdPerk’s DWIP Manifold systems.

Tips to creating your perfect recipe:
Roast – As with any other coffee process, the roast level informs the body and complexity of the flavors in any brewing or extraction process.
Grind – For ColdSpro, we recommend finer grind settings for lighter roast coffees and coarser grinds for darker roasts.
Water Temperature – There are two key temperatures to consider: Pre-Infusion and Extraction. Often higher pre-infusion temperatures bring out complexity of the beans and can be followed with lower extraction temperatures.
Water Flow – The flow rate is all about contact time with the ground coffee. The lower the flow, the more contact allowing for a fuller extraction. Faster flow rates will speed up the extraction, but may result in lower yields.

Speed? This technology has it. Decadent flavor? Absolutely. ColdPerk espresso is perfect for cold drinks, but it’s also great for cocktails. Imagine using this concentrated extract in a pump bottle for hot drinks—ready to add espresso to any beverage, speeding up service and elevating the customer experience.

One other thing to note: Creating ColdSpro requires no power, plumbing, electronics, or batteries—just pure gravity and the DWIP Manifold technology making this the most convenient piece of equipment in your shop!
